About the Foundation

Built on Ubuntu. Driven by purpose.

The Nkomondo Bond Foundation is a registered South African non-profit organization promoting compassion, unity, and sustainable community development.

Nkomondo Mathebula and Nomonde Mathebula — Founders of the Nkomondo Bond Foundation

Our Founders

Nkomondo & Nomonde Mathebula

The Nkomondo Bond Foundation was founded in 2019 by Nkomondo Mathebula and Nomonde Mathebula, whose lives are united by a strong bond of love, shared purpose, and an unwavering commitment to serving humanity.

The name "Nkomondo Bond" reflects more than the union of our names — it represents the unbreakable bond that connects us as partners in life and in service. When the letter "K" is removed from Nkomondo, it becomes Nomondo, symbolising how our identities complement one another.

Our philosophy is deeply rooted in the African principle of Ubuntu — "I am because we are." We believe humanity is realized through our relationships with others, and that every individual has a responsibility to uplift and empower those around them.

Our Belief

A bond forged in Ubuntu

To us, the Nkomondo Bond represents relationships forged through shared experiences, resilience, trust and genuine care for one another. It is an enduring emotional and spiritual connection that inspires us to serve with integrity, humility and love.

We envision a society where people from all walks of life — embracing their uniqueness and diversity — work together toward a common purpose: building a brighter future for all.

"I am because he is. We are because of one another."
